Andrei Tudose
At first, photography used to be something my father did. Then, in my early 20’s, I got my first camera and started discovering new places, new cultures, new people. I started documenting my close to home and far away journeys. Not only places and people, but tiny details hidden in the streets, in random events or inside beautiful but abandoned buildings.
In my 30’s, I felt the need to take things further. I enrolled in an MA program in Photography at the University of Arts in Bucharest and my universe grew infinitely larger. The well-known emotions of the hunt, the anticipation, the trying and the failing, the unpredictable, and the never the same, now have the means to reach beyond the mere scope of a photograph. The quest for chance is now the starting point in analyzing and understanding my social environment, by means of art.
