I was born in Athens in 1969. I currently live and work in Athens as a small business owner and have also lived in England and Paris, while maintaining a very close relationship with Spain.
My interest in photography started when I was a teenager and lasted a few years. After a long pause, a strong internal need to express myself, led me to pick-up my old camera again in 2017. Since then, I attend regularly photography seminars and classes, I study continuously and have participated in several group exhibitions in Athens. I see photography as a mean to escape reality, to describe my emotions and thoughts, to create small narratives and to evoke emotions to other people. Photography teaches me to be more socially involved, interact better with people, anticipate scenes, value the beauty of everything that surrounds me, perfect or flawed. What I enjoy the most, is the process of shooting, the 'I´m in my own reality' feeling, the long walks, the location scouting, the blending with the people, the observation of light and how this is giving life to, or alters, objects and subjects. |
