A quarter of a century ago …
I met your parents, went out on the streets, chanted "freedom", danced and sang with them … at Bucharest down town.
I got in the dictator's palace, made a selfie in his private mirror, and I witnessed the first appearance of the new government … at Cotroceni.
Back in 1989,
I heard the machine-guns, smell the fire, saw death with my own eyes … during the struggle on the street.
A quarter of a century ago,
I lit a candle for the dead and shouted together with you for justice and for a new Romania.
