I see you every day from my window. You don’t talk to me anymore, neither can I recall if you ever did.

They say I don’t see the colors, but on tv, I learned that I can see perfectly the blue tones. As if it matters.

I look from the window but even today I won’t see you. I remember you little girl and I think that only anger remains with my memories. What is your new face like I wonder?

You were always growing but lately even more.   

Δες με, άγγιξε με.

Σε βλέπω κάθε μέρα από το παράθυρο μου. Δεν μου μιλάς πλέον, ούτε θυμάμαι αν ποτέ το έκανες. 

Λένε ότι δεν βλέπω τα χρώματα, και όμως στην τηλεόραση έμαθα ότι βλέπω άψογα τους μπλε τόνους. Λες και έχει σημασία. 

Κοιτάω από το παράθυρο αλλά ούτε και σήμερα θα σε δω. Σε θυμάμαι μικρή και νομίζω πως μόνο ο θυμός μένει με τις αναμνήσεις μου. Ποιο είναι το νέο σου πρόσωπο άραγε; 

Πάντα μεγάλωνες, αλλά τώρα τελευταία περισσότερο.

This photo story has been made during my 24h stay in Tyrnavos village, Greece, close to the city I live. 

For one day local people celebrate the phallus festival that symbolizes the reproduction and fertility of nature and mankind. A carnival opens the event th night before.

It is something that church does not accept, although over the last years more and more women and children are participating (by Kostas Kroustallis)

As a paraphrase of landscape {from the words land (=earth, soil) and scape (=view, landscape)} the series Linescapes indicates the thin line that seperates the natural landscape from human and -by extension- his intervention in it.

Contary to the most of his photographic work heretofore which mainly includes street - anthropocentric photography, in this assemblage dominate more stringent lines, with the landscape as a protagonist (urban or not) as well as whatever strange - in the limits of surrealism - can create this marriage of the natural landscape and the human intervention in it.

Ως παράφραση του landscape (=τοπίο) {από το land (=γη, έδαφος) και το scape (=θέα, τοπίο)}, η σειρά Linescapes υποδηλώνει αυτή τη λεπτή γραμμή που διαχωρίζει το φυσικό τοπίο από τον άνθρωπο και κατ’ επέκταση την παρέμβασή του σε αυτό.

Σε αντίθεση με το σύνολο της μέχρι τώρα φωτογραφικής του δουλειάς, το οποίο περιλαμβάνει κυρίως street ανθρωποκεντρική φωτογραφία, σε αυτό το σύνολο κυριαρχούν οι πιο αυστηρές γραμμές, με πρωταγωνιστή κυρίως το τοπίο (αστικό ή μη) καθώς και ό,τι πιο περίεργο – στα όρια του σουρεαλιστικού- μπορεί να αποδώσει αυτό το πάντρεμα του φυσικού τοπίου και της ανθρώπινης παρέμβασης σε αυτό.
