This is the place where my soul grew in harmony with nature; where my soul understood it's impulse to create. It is the place where I lived my childhood.
I think it’s important for a child to be in direct contact with nature and animals. This connections allowed me to understand emotionally and subconsciously how to be a free being.
I could even say that nature was my teacher - it taught me how to create. I'm very thankful that I spent my childhood there.
My drive for photography has it's roots in this place and I often came back here to catch new images of it’s evolution. I made connections with a very few people here.
For most of its old and mature people the village it's not bad, neither good - it is what it is. But for the teenagers it's a place they cannot wait to escape from, dreaming about the cool life of the big cities. (photos and text by Ruxandra Petre)
