Stan De Zoysa

 
My name is Stan De Zoysa, I was born in 1980 in Sri Lanka and migrated to London for higher studies at the age of 19. At the age of 21, I visited Barcelona for a short visit and I have been living there ever since for the past 17 years.

Currently, I'm a Logistics Engineer by day, father of 2 by night, owner of a cat and lives with my partner and kids in a small town near Barcelona.

I got hooked on to street photography in the late 2016 and ever since I have been dedicating all my free time to documentary and street photography.

As many photographers at early stages mainly all my work was in black and white but slowly I have shifted to colour and currently I'd say I mostly only shoot in colour. My references in photography are Matt Stuart's basic humour/simplicity and Alex Webb's complex colour work among many other great photographers.

My documentary work of Catalan Referendum was published in Magazines and News Papers both online and print format in Barcelona.
